Application for Seneca Park East and West

Down the Genesee, Seneca Park, Rochester, NY c1904
Application for Seneca Park East and West
This application contains one of the best descriptions of Maplewood and Seneca Parks from a historical perspective up until the present day. Section 7, Pages 14-17 provide a timeline and explanation of each of the elements that are featured in one of the environmental masterpieces designed by Frederick Law Olmsted’s firm for the City of Rochester and its Parks Commission. Section 8 is a wonderful summary of how important these parks were to Rochester’s history and to the preservation of the Genesee River Gorge at the Lower Falls.
